No firm-wide policy. Varies by office/practice group. In my group most people are still 100% WFH. Sounds like we'll start transitioning to 3-4 days/week back in the office in the near future.

Is anyone interested in taking over the lease for a top floor 3 bed 2 bath, 1500 SQ ft apartment in a newly built complex in Plaza Midwood? The lease runs through Sept 2023. It's one of the nicest complexes in the city, has close proximity to Uptown, and has excellent amenities (e.g. CrossFit style gym, two pools, dog park, on site complimentary cafe, etc.). My unit has an ideal layout for work from home and a huge patio.

Edit: $3,196/mo including valet trash pickup ($35) and pest control ($4)

I'm non US citizen and thinking of moving back to EU. My plan is getting remote opportunities across the world and work as a freelancer. My speciality is Data analytics and BI (Qlikview, Tableau). 1) How likely I can get a gig from the US? 2) if a job looking for a remote 2-3 months contract do they care what country I'm in? 3) how can I compete Indian rates as I'm in Europe 60-70$ per hour as a BI consultant is a good rate but I see online rates as low 10$😫?

I got an email confirmation from HR, which simply says "you can work anywhere from India".

I am not willing to relocate to Bangalore, can i trust HR, if anyone working in pwc is aware of such policies please share your inputs.

Hi,
I have an offer with Citi, initially it was hybrid model and looks like they are moving back to wfo.. they told only now and I dont have any other offer in hand. due to personal constraints I need wfh or some flexibility types, but they seem a bit rigid as its not in their policy..
Is it good to join and then try pushing them for wfh.. or search for another offer..? 16 yoe, PM...

Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. I have colleagues doing intense data science tasks as BI Analysts, and can’t help but feel indignant on their behalf because when hearing their job title, one would underestimate their technical ability.

Senior attorneys at v100, how common is it for attorneys who start at small firms to lateral to biglaw? Have you worked with any? Can you name a firm (preferably NY office) that lets its associates work from a different country with no issues? The mid-size firm I’m currently at has been very flexible during covid but I’m looking to change firm (biglaw). Since my family is abroad I find it extremely valuable to be able to do this (I did this even before covid for a couple of weeks, twice a year). I am an m&a junior at a firm that is generally considered a lifestyle firm (pay below market but target hours are lower unless pushing for partner). Over the pandemic period, we have had so many senior associates and paralegals leave that there is no one to ask questions to and I’m doing paralegal work (we are all in survival mode). I’m not convinced the partners in my team (who are aware of the problem but cannot convince management) can recruit people to replace given we pay below market.
