Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
As a technology consultant myself, turnover in this profession has become an important topic in my career and the primary focus of my doctoral research at Saint Leo University. The below survey will be utilized for academic research and no personal or employer identifying information will be collected. This quick survey should take 5 minutes to complete: qfreeaccountssjc1.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6AtJUChjyqNQfbg

I think Accenture, Deloitte, and CSG (mainly for WLB) are the top Salesforce consultancies overall, but above Cognizant/Wipro there is a solid tier of firms like PWC, IBM, and Capgemini that do good work while being better than WITCH firms.
You should absolutely talk to your coach and a practice director before leaving the firm though l. Basically imply that M&A infrastructure is not where you would like to be in 2 months and you will make career moves to get out of it.
Deloitte has been a shit show since I joined a month ago—my onboarding specialist quit a few weeks ago, and my coach has been on parental leave the entire time.
If you’re in Pittsburgh and want to consider joining an early stage SI we’re hiring Sr. Salesforce Consultants. We’re 100% remote forever but Pittsburgh based.

Where are you located? If you’re currently at Deloitte, I would not recommend making either of those moves.
Come to Uptima. Our HQ is in Pittsburgh

Oh I forgot to mention, they also have “process improvement” and “oversight teams” that swoop in, upend your project and leave. And if you have an issue with a practices performance on your project, like data migrations or integration, you get to fight their practice leads over the issue instead of finding a solution. It’s just not a fun org. I was there a year (ATG, specifically, which is supposed to be their “botique” offering) and hated every minute of it.
Here’s an example of process btw: you enter your request for a resource into their horrible peoplesoft implementation (that btw takes about 5x longer to reconcile time cards for budget on on than anything else I’ve ever used), then you do the exact same thing in a blank spreadsheet and email it to an email address.
Do you like being abused? These companies are not well known for treating employees well.
I’d take it over working IT infrastructure M&A where I have zero idea what I’m doing
