I don’t work for Chase but the advice I can offer is stay with Chase for about a year and get your series 7 etc. After a year try getting into the investment co. Field such as Fidelity. A lot is work from home and pay is outrageous!

I stayed in the banking industry for far too long 5+ years - I wish I hadn’t stayed in the retail banking industry too long bc there was money left on the table !

Chase here. Not a banker, but on corporate side. I like it. No, it’s not perfect, but comp and benefits are competitive. A good place to get a start. Also, it looks great on a resume.

Case load= malpractice? Small plaintiff’s firm of 25 attorneys. I was a 2 year associate hired and given 50 active files in pre litigation status. 9 mos later a partner quit and I inherited 45 more. I got up to 105 files. Now I hover at 85 active files in varying stages of pre lit. I asked managing partner for help and was told to settle more claims to lessen my load. Is this what people consider negative work culture?

I’m so grumpy about new campus hires. Sometimes I’m judgmental (your hobby is “working on your golf swing,” really?). Sometimes I’m just exhausted by the worried earnestness. Sometimes I’m amazed that they seem to have zero useful skills, yet they’ll be making 150k easily in the not too distant future.

If I’m at a T2 (OW/LEK/ATK) strategy shop, would going to a T3 MBA (Darden, Fuqua, Stern, Tuck, etc) improve my current brand, or more so keep neutral....have no doubt the M7 would enhance, but struggling to see huge upside in the others given the financial & time investment required
