Hey everyone! I’m interviewing for an HR Generalist role at a Fintech company, this will be their first HR hire and will be reporting to the CFO. I got invited to a second round interview to meet the team to ensure that it’s a good culture fit. I would love to know any thoughts on what I should ask or do to ensure that I am great fit. Can anyone give me their honest opinion on working at Eli Lilly, the Indy site? I have a few coworkers that have worked there in the past but no one recently. Salaries would be comparable (Lilly would most likely be a little more with bonuses), but if the culture sucks, I’d hate to burn a bridge with Envigo.

Can someone help me understand how backdoor Roth works in my situation?

I contribute the $19.5K max to a 401K each year. Would backdoor Roth be (A) the ability to roll $6K of that $19.5K into a Roth? or (B) an incremental $6K that I could contribute to a separate IRA then backdoor into a Roth?

Asked another way, does backdoor Roth allow me to actually contribute $25.5K each year, or does it just allow $6K of my $19.5K contribution to build in a Roth?

I currently work as an APM at a FAANG company but recently received an offer to join an MBB. I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). Considering that I currently work 40-60 hours/week, I’ll be making significantly less per hour at the MBB. I’m very interested in the opportunity but also don’t want to make a poor financial decision early in my career. Thank you for your time!
