Hey everyone! I’m interviewing for an HR Generalist role at a Fintech company, this will be their first HR hire and will be reporting to the CFO. I got invited to a second round interview to meet the team to ensure that it’s a good culture fit. I would love to know any thoughts on what I should ask or do to ensure that I am great fit. I left a good impression on the CFO but would to see what else so can do when meeting with the team since it’ll be a 2.5 hour meet up. I’m really excited!

Generally speaking, how long does it take for a company to make an offer to you if the interview went well?

I’m currently working as a fraud specialist for a big delivery gig company. I am a “contractor”
For 6 months & was informed back in the interview they can extend it to up to 2 years if not hired on as a full time employee in that time frame. I was wondering if anyone had any advice to try to become a full time employee by the end of contract? I’m 3 months in and I’d say I’m doing pretty well there. I like what I do, my boss, my team. It’s a dream and I wanna be able to stay long haul.

Could someone please suggest how to handle this situation?
My manager (Technology Director) sees me as an emerging thread to his position and stopped sharing details / trying to avoid including me in visible projects etc.,
FYI - His manager is the division head and Managing Director.

I am interested in moving to another state and realized that this state has one of the most restrictive reciprocity rules in the country. I've passed multiple bar exams. However, I won't get any credit for time I worked in CA because CA isn't reciprocal. I swore I'd never take another bar after taking CA - and now I have to take another exam if we move. I worked in big law in CA for two years and get no credit! Yet the exam has been waived for new grads for COVID. It sure limits our move.

Looking through my offer letter there is mention of an “addendum” that “outlines any applicable repayment terms” for the sign-on. This addendum is not in my offer letter, was not included as an attachment to my offer letter, and HR did not respond when I asked them if they can provide the addendum.

For those who lived in SF and/or NY before, do you have a preference? NY is great for finance opportunities but heard it's super cut throat. SF is great for tech opportunities and it seems more likely for females to find a relationship here compared to NY because more males than females here. Just by looking online, both places are comparable for rent and are small in apartment sizes. I’m responsible for strategy, comms and key partnerships for a bank product. It reports through Customer Experience but touches product, Ops. marketing. It’s basically a Project Manager role but more nuanced.

Who has experience being successful with a counter-offer for a role based on another companies offer? I want to accept the lower salary role but with a pay nudge - the higher salary I don't care for. I'm worried I could lose out on both
