Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

I’m out of the loop here. Is it because you don’t find the company prestigious enough?
Their website sucks. Pass
What division of Aon are you looking to work in? I have worked at both Mercer and Aon in the Retirement division as an actuarial consultant and much prefer Aon over Mercer. That said, there are different areas of Mercer that are likely more desirable than Aon.
Work life balance is much better than the WLB of the EYs and PWC etc.. as there is much less travel than what those guys suggest on here. Typical week is 45 hours and we are allowed to work from home pretty much whenever we want.
Work balance is def better but lower wages/raise as expected.
This would be in investment management. I’m just afraid to be pigeonholed and stagnate in development.
Well to be honest, the investment consulting division of Aon is growing faster now than ever and more prevalent than any time in the past. I wouldn’t have suggested you going into retirement consulting as pension plans are a dying breed, but there are more dynamic opportunities and projects in the investment consulting realm than ever before
@AH 1 if the role was in retirement consulting, would it be difficult to lateral to other parts of the business?
Not as a new hire as much as it would be for someone with experience. New hires are eligible to be in the “major/minor” program that means you focus like 60-70% of your time in your major area with the remainder in a minor area. So you could minor in investments or sales or risk or H&B to name a few
