Applied online to five chain stores and never heard back, but when I walked in and asked for a manager I got an interview on the spot. Is in person still the better move or just luck?

I always tell people to go ask in person if you can fill out an application. It really does make a big difference. I think it shows a manager that you really want to work.

Yes, I feel like it’s so much better when you go in person!

I can see the in person approach working out better just because a manager in the store is more in touch with what's needed. If an application submitted online gets sent to wherever it needs to go it might fall through the cracks somewhere along the way. When you think of that, it makes more sense to show up in person.

Yeah I think so too!

I think that was just luck in this situation. I think so many things have transition to being done online, I think online applications directly through the companies website is the best bet.

Yeah maybe it is to do with luck!!

Hi friends,

I'm a new joinee in MSFT.

People in my team they don't come with me for breaks. (They blame the timings are different since they sit in crits but i don't think so because they have their own group of friends to go with)

Secondly, when my team members see me in cafeteria we expect they'll sit with us but people here are being rude they directly go and sit with their friends they don't call you to join. ( atleast they could have said they are accompanied)

Hi fishes, need urgent advice. How is the HDFC Index Sensex Plan? I have invested 75K but it's in loss as all others. Should I continue to average it out or stop investing in it? The loss is higher in this compared to other funds.

Our company is a small company with 80-100 employees in India, what the company does is ask us to track every single minute of our day, from getting into the office to what time we got up for lunch, tea, etc. for everything we have to put a log, do you guys think this is a healthy process for a company to grow? All the employees be frustrated that they have to go to office regularly and finish 9 hours somehow, a measured break time is also allocated.
