Hello Everyone!
I have done my bachelor's in mechanical engineering and master's in engineering management for process excellence from the uni of Glasgow and uni of Strathclyde respectively. I'm currently looking for jobs and have 2 years of running my own company. I'd be glad if anyone can help me with this and guide me accordingly. It would be ideal if I could get anything in process/operations but I'm flexible and am open to explore new areas.

So- we run Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) for our clients display ads in a feed and corresponding google sheet via Google DoubleClick. My q is- does anyone know what systems out there allow for creating a template that will automatically pull a product image from say Target.com and automatically building the ad & copy without manually making 1000 ads via row for row in the google sheet? I know this is possible but curious if Sizmek or Flashtalking are more common in this type of creative development.

I'd imagine it's this way all over, but curious to hear some others chime in. Just had to fight to keep our ad spend budget at a reasonable amount myself. Our smaller sister company just reduced theirs by nearly half. No one wanted to listen when I explained why that's a bad move 🤷🏼♂️
Totally feel this. It’s tough when the people making the cuts aren’t the ones in the weeds seeing how those dollars actually work. I’ve had to do a lot of “prove the value first, then ask” moves lately just to keep things afloat. Would love to hear if anyone's found ways to frame the ROI conversation that actually resonate with leadership?
Yep. Marketing budgets are the first thing to get slashed whenever there's any sign of slowing sales or economic downturn. It's frustrating because it only compounds the problem, but management doesn't want to hear that.
It’s frustrating because we’re often the ones looked at to turn things around, but instead, the budget cuts make it harder to do our job effectively.
We haven't had any changes in ad spend right now but there are whispers of a possible decrease. Not by much, thankfully.
Tariff's constantly changing and the unknown's don't help with that either. That's why we were in total chaos mode for about two weeks. Talking about cutting our budget by a million at one point.
Recession?
Honestly, yeah that's where my head was going. If all companies are slashing budgets...preparing for harder times.
