It’s fascinating to be me that Indians leave everything behind to get a comfortable life , but then want to shove their kids into same kind of “challenge” that abuses kids back in India. And all that for what? How many global scientists or researchers or mathematicians India produces ? How many Nobel prize winners ?
I’m not saying all US schools are great. But you are not going to find rampant pressure , rote learning so that you can fulfill your parents failed ambitions or turning people into drones for national exams. Closest to that nonsense here is going to be prep schools. Rant over
Appreciate your response! Super helpful.
A lot depends on school districts (and public vs private schools) but factually, class teacher is super important.I have a high school kid who’s curriculum is not at par with CBSE(India) but gained lot of knowledge beyond academia.
My 2nd kid in elementary and I may plan to enroll him in school back in India..seriously considering.🙂
As in online learning or you are planning to move back for education?
Out of curiosity, what’s the benefit of being on par with a country you don’t live in? I don’t expect my kids to go to college in India so I don’t get why ppl supplement US education with kumon, Russian math, etc.
But I also only know the US system, took 11 AP classes in high school and went to a great name brand college.
So please excuse my ignorance, but genuinely curious as to why to compare to a system you don’t expect your kids to live in.
