Im graduating in may with a BS in Industrial Engineering. Ive also held a Data Analyst Internship for 1 year with a small construction company. Anyone have advice where this combination of education and experience would make me most competitive in terms of roles/companies?

Does anyone or know of any finance professionals that have exited to go work in the music industry or entertainment? I studied Econ/Finance and Music (songwriting) in college so I’ve always been interested to see if there’s a possible transition over to the music industry later on. I really enjoy finance and banking but a part of me wants to know if the music business/clients/development is a possible exit opportunity when I’m older and have put in my time in finance. Thanks!

I am tech guy with almost 3yr exp, but I want to switch to a Management role. Going for an MBA is not possible for me. I was wondering about the possibility to switch to a management role within the next 2 years without an MBA. Company/Brand is not a bar for me.

I’ve decided to make my career in the government side of consulting. Been doing it 10 years. Seems hard to find jobs where I manage people unless at a big 4. Anyone else find this true?

Pivoting away from Sales: I’ve been in sales positions for 15 years, and I’m just exhausted by the role (disputing commissions, arguing about deals, all of it). I have a degree in marketing, but I am having a hard time landing interviews since I’ve never had a strictly marketing only role. Can anyone provide any advice, or has anyone successfully moved away from sales?

Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

I’ve been a management consultant for 3.5 yrs. I’ve done 18 months of internal sustainability work such as building our sustainability practice, initiatives to get B CORP, SBTI, tracked carbon emissions, company campaigns for sustainability awareness, sustainability strategy. I want to move into a sustainability consulting role. Which area of sustainability consulting should I look at? Are there any courses or certifications I should do?

How can one transition from a Visual/graphic designer in marketing to a product designer? And what’s it like being a product designer w a visual design background? Will you completely leave behind the graphic design world or are you still wearing many hats and still fulfilling that design and creative buzz? What courses, or resources do you have to make that jump? Can my portfolio have made up projects for this? I feel like I’m starting all over in design school! Haha.

Is there a way to gain some modeling skills from FDD? My plan is to exit as FP&A or Corp Dev but I heard they are looking for modeling skills. I know that working I can try to move to IB and then try that route but IB hours seem to be too brutal for me.

I am trying to figure out how to switch to SWE. I have a masters in civil engineering and have a good background in higher level math. It looks like the better coding boot camps are quite expensive. The alternative is another masters in CS which is the same cost as many boot camps. Any recommendations on picking between a coding boot camp and getting another masters degree in CS? I’m looking to get into the best position possible after getting an education in CS (get a job quick and good pay).

Trying to transition and looking for a general progression of how you would go from essentially zero to entry level job as quickly as possible?

Currently going through the CS50 course to get a very basic introduction. Trying to avoid going back to school but open to boot camps if the community thinks they're with it.

Hi Fishes!! I have got an offer from Infosys for Gurgaon Location. Mostly everyone knows Infosys is not present in NCR location. Although, my offer letter mentions I will be working remotely and no need to come to office. Is there anyone else who is in the same situation, i.e from Gurgaon Location.

I have 5+ years of experience working at a creative ad agency, but much of the work was pitch/sizzle videos (yuck).
