Just wondering if it’s acceptable to use Excel
or anything. I didn’t for my interview but obviously you can go faster / be cleaner in Excel
Usually paper LbO refers to an in person interview with no computer but ofc you can always do quick and dirty on a computer
The whole point is to do it on paper / “back of the envelope”.
If you want to do a full excel LBO that’s just the same exercise but with the ability to be more precise / faster.
I’m not fully sure I understand the point of the question - the reason to do a paper LBO is to show you understand all the same basic building blocks that would go into a real Excel LBO model
Perhaps OP is referring to an LBO of a paper company
