Are startups stereotypically known to be a stressful environment? 6 months in (unemployed for a few months before), I'm starting to experience burnout. I've tried expressing this to management, but then I got gaslit being told I can't handle the work, when I'm keeping up and overworking myself. I don't even feel comfortable asking for a mental health day or any days off, because I felt like it was such a battle when I had previously asked for days off.
