As a new grad at my BB in back office, how do I network effectively with people in roles in FO? I’ve had a bunch of informational interviews w ppl and they all told me to keep in touch, but I’m a little lost on how to continue the relationship moving forward w/o it feeling like I’m just talking to them so that I can get a referral/job offer down the line.

Since Covid started, I've used it as an excuse to avoid office parties and social functions even after restrictions started easing. Part of it was to avoid passing covid to at-risk family members, but admittedly my social anxiety played a role too. What a relief to give those things a miss! An office gathering is coming up that takes place during work hours and I want to skip it, but I'm worried that this will be problematic because it's technically during paid time. Should I bite the bullet?

At what point is it okay to ignore work-related emails and messages when you're on vacation? I'm on PTO and have not gone a single day without opening my work laptop.
