Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

Ask whoever told you about the bands for the quantifiable difference in job requirements between the 11a and the 12, as you’d like to “understand the expectations.” If they cannot clearly lay out the difference, you have a Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint.
Our company has limits on how many grades a person can jump. There have been several cases where the ideal candidate was turned down because their grade was too low for the position they applied for. They also have limits on merit increases based on those levels. Basically corporate bureaucracy and policies running the business. Depending on the size of the company and their policies I doubt they will change or make any exceptions.
