Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??
Have a 4 round loop interview for Sr. Product Manager at Amazon coming up through the MBA pathways program soon.
If I land it the trajectory of my life and that of my family changes but I'm starting to feel the pressure. I haven't had a lot of traction for job searching since I graduated in December so this is the best lead I have and I'm getting scared now.

I don't think she's going to get a great salary by solely doing an IT Helpdesk job. I'm presuming that the higher-end of the payscale for that job is for the people who have tons of experience. She could maybe job hop to get some more pay (maybe $60-$70k?) but as someone else mentioned, she would need to climb the ladder to break into those higher salaries.
SysAdmin, Senior IT Support Engineer, IT Support Manager, and such would probably have access to the higher salaries (even 6 figures).
Usually after IT Helpdesk or Support the next step for her should be moving up the ladder and choosing a role that she likes to work on daily bases.
Help desk in most companies touch more Microsoft systems such as windows 10 and Active Directory, Office 365 so in most cases they lean towards systems Administration. We call them "SysAdmins". It's not an easy role to get but once you get in it's a big jump in terms of salary and more roles will open up such as Hybrid roles in Cloud.
If she likes working with Cisco devices such as switching or routing I will suggest her to check Network related roles and go with Network+ and CCNA to learn the foundational skills and try to get Junior Network Support Jobs.
Have her check our site we have 70,000+ IT Members and we help with Upskilling, we have our own transitioning program which can help her move up the ladder. https://jobskillshare.org/
For Transitioning Skills have her check this page
