Who uses Oracle and why do people like it? I’ve seen mostly Workday and SAP so curious why people still choose Oracle HCM

Historical practice/ relationships mainly, I haven’t heard of them ever winning at rfp for hcm because their product is inferior

like

Many are on Oracle because Oracle gave them dirt cheap licenses to move off EBS or PeopleSoft.

like

Yeah trying to understand why someone would choose Oracle cloud, are they cheaper?

If you had an offer from Alight doing workday hcm or Baker Tilly doing Oracle hcm, which would you choose? Assume same salary and location

Sorry, should have been more clear, wondering why a client would choose Oracle

Oracle has the most complete multi pillar suite. Workday does not even compare. Workday does Excel in HCM but they have lost their edge/lead

like

Depends on what the client determines to be “must have” requirements from what I’ve seen while sifting through RFP responses.

15 YOE, recently started my first tech PR job at a large, stable company & have been asked to get ~20 SMEs in front of media. Subject matter is not sexy. I lead PR for all of U.S. & have no other PR colleagues. My agency’s budget is 100k/year & they’re spread too thin to hit their KPIs. I feel set up to fail & feel we should be focusing on a handful of SMEs and only our sexiest topics. Any advice on mitigating unrealistic expectations for coverage? Anyone handled similar problems in the past?

Posting on my wife’s behalf - We recently moved to the US and she is currently looking for a good role in HR consulting. She has previously worked with KPMG, McKinsey, Korn Ferry and WTW in Talent and Org. consulting practices in India for about 12 years. She also recently cleared her SPHR certification. It will be a great help if anyone can refer or aware of any job openings in NYC area. Thanks!

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?

I accepted a new offer and put in my notice this week and my company provided a counteroffer. The offer is lower than my new offer but I know it’s the best they can do. Financially I do need the money but I’m also tempted to stay because my current team is so great. I have 2 questions 1) when does it make sense to prioritize workplace happiness/ balance over financial well-being? 2) if I go back on my offer acceptance should I consider that bridge burned?

Hi All, I’m thinking about getting certified in change management but not sure if I should go the Prosci route or CCMP route. CCMP is a lot cheaper compared to Prosci but would it measure up just the same?

I guess it would be similar to the discussion of the SHRM-SCP vs SPHR.
