Bain & Company Hi All. I am an Energy Engineer and 3 years of experience. I want to switch to a management consultancy because I think I would be a good fit for strategy consulting and want to move into ESG/Climate Financing. I would love to interview with your team if you’re looking to hire someone with this background (happy to share more via DMs).
The purpose of this post is to also ask for referrals so please let me know if I could reach out to you for that. TIA! McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group

Not sure if it’s M or SM. But I recently switched firms. No case interview but I described my general approach to projects/problem solving and discussed some specifics.
But most of the interview wasn’t focused on case work.

I’ve done a lot of lateral partner interviews and never been asked to do a case.

Have done cases for M role at Kearney and SM role at Cap1’s strategy group
I stopped casing at M. If anyone asks me to case or do take home assignments I end my interest with that firm/employer

Same. Take home is an absolute non starter. Cases are fair if they’re relevant. But ask me to estimate the amount of pipes in Manhattan? Goodbye.
