At what point does customizing your resume start to turn into fabricating? I'm a teacher trying to pivot and look like "not just a teacher" Anyone else struggling with where the line is?

I recently saw that quantifying actions is how you would work around that. Say something along these lines:

● Build instructional strategies by reviewing learners’ progress, pace to goal, and utilizing direct feedback from stakeholders on learners outcomes
● Evaluate individual as well as group progress, comprehension, completion to better identify areas of improvement and hit metrics consistently
● Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate high-quality, learner-focused, interactive curriculum resulting in program retention and increases

Teaching skills are transferrable because of the wide range of tasks, planning, organization, and implementation required, but in a way that is palatable and age-appropriate and measures against metrics. You can also identify and intervene for areas of improvement. Best of luck to you!

Quick question.
I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?

I saw some sales managers discussing hiring strategies, especially for entry level roles (e.g. SDR, BDR).

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.

What do you think of this approach? Would be curious to hear from both hiring manager perspectives and from candidate perspectives.

I would like to transfer my career to Healthcare Data Analytics. I’m gaining my data analytics certification by the ending of November. I’ve also worked and still currently working for great healthcare company’s. I also have lots of great healthcare data experience. My only concern is no degree. What can I say to recruiters that will WOW them or replace the fact I have no degree because that’s what most of these company’s require.

Has anyone worked Corp Dev at a BB or large financial institution. Wonder comp and work life balance for analyst. Have 1 year of IB experience. Likewise, have a super day with 4 MDS, wondering if anything specific should be prepped for the interviews. Thank you!

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)

I accepted a new offer and put in my notice this week and my company provided a counteroffer. The offer is lower than my new offer but I know it’s the best they can do. Financially I do need the money but I’m also tempted to stay because my current team is so great. I have 2 questions 1) when does it make sense to prioritize workplace happiness/ balance over financial well-being? 2) if I go back on my offer acceptance should I consider that bridge burned?

I'm working on extricating myself and finding my identity again in a way that will be easy on my conscience and values..so I'm learning! Please dont hesitate to go to therapy!...

We’re having an Indian wedding on a Sunday with ceremony in the morning, followed by lunch, and then cocktail hour + reception.

Given that the wedding starts early, we will have guests (~30) flying in the day before. What is the expectation in terms of arranging dinner for them? We’re trying to avoid having an additional event Saturday night - any idea on if these guests would need to have food arranged for them by us and what that could look like on a cost effective budget.

I would love to transition to something other than direct service using skills I already have. (Obviously willing to develop further but I'd like to build from my existing foundation) Any suggestions or ideas other than private practice or supervision/management ?
