Everyone talks about pay in PE, what does it actually look like? Better than post-MBA MBB?
I’m supposed to start my MBA in a few weeks but there is something inside me that is pulling me back. I’m afraid of quitting my job, taking out a debt that will take my net worth negative, and
EY Mind games - no bonus and raise for your hard work, save tons of money, layoff people in the wake of performance based separations and then suddenly give RAC worth pennies to everyone so employees can get piece of mind and do not leave in a hurry. P1 will definitely argue on above and prove his loyalty once again, lol....
Advice needed: company I admire contacted me for an interview (PM/Program Manager role). They were acquired in the spring and no longer offer equity. The role is very much a role for a startup tho, think small team - lots to organize & scale. When i asked salary range they said it’s decided after interview process. What would you say is a reasonable salary to ask for? Position is 5 YOE PM and Program Manager (i have 5.5 YOE in both). My spouse feels 150K is reasonable. I’m at 125k rn. Thoughts?
Just found out I got into NYU (full time MBA). I applied pretty early and I interviewed on Oct 30. Heads up for other people applying - they didn’t call me, just got an email saying my application status was updated. Good luck everyone!
I know the fact, that there is significant difference in salary structure if we compare support engineer VS software engineer. But what should be a average salary for 7 YOE working in support profile ?
Deloitte pushing start dates from August to January. Graduating MBA with 6 figure debt and a ton of additional financial obligation. I’m devastated. I know I should be grateful but damn it’s hard.

How is PE recruiting out of Tuck with pre-MBA PE experience (LMM/MM)? I plan to apply to non-HS M7s as well but personally want to go to Tuck.

Is acquiring a Tax LLM pointless if you already have a JD and working in Big 4 Tax already?
FB UK or FB US?
I work on a relatively large team. The AGC I report to will soon be taking a 6 month sabbatical, and I’ve been tapped to temporarily assume their role and responsibilities during this time, including taking on direct reports. Should I look for a (temporary) comp bump, or suck it up and enjoy the resume building opportunities?
As WFH continues on, I'm seeing our cultural initiatives slip away as it pertains to social connection and education/training. What are your agencies doing to either bring employees together while in WFH-mode and/or offer educational opportunities (for your discipline, and/or DEI)? It seems no one wants to get behind a computer screen for anything besides work. Does connection and education matter to people still or is it just about getting the job done?
How is the working model in IBM post covid? Is it permanent WFH or depends on project. How is the flexibility wrt to timing and WFH in company.

Any Altman Solon fish on here, or anyone know much about them? Recently received and invitation to interview for a consultant role, but unsure if I want to proceed. Happy in my tole but willing to talk with recruiters, but the first round interview is 1 30min call plus 2 45 min cases…
Current S1 here. Is it okay if my resume experience is just: B4 Internship > Associate > Senior? (All in the same firm/practice) Never done other internships. The only other thing I could include is a student assistant job I had in college. Not sure if that's even relevant. Guess just the progression at this 1 firm is enough? Just looks a bit incomplete on the resume.

If a firm sent you free tech for WFH (monitors, docking station, keyboard, and mouse), are you obligated to return it once you leave? Obviously will return the laptop, but was wondering if it’s normal/expected to keep everything else. Insights appreciated! (Relatedly: laterals, do your new firms send you stuff or give you a stipend for your home office? Assuming at least partial remote for now)
I think it’s time to consider demolishing and rebuilding LAX. When it takes 30 minutes to get to the drop off curb on a Sunday morning, start over
