HR says they will provide opportunity to work with cloud services, But during my technical discussion they confirmed that its for on primise clusters.

I am currently with VMWARE as a digital sales rep. I have another offer in hand with Confluent. The comp is lucrative as compared to the current one but I am sceptical if the move is worth. The next role is of Commercial account executive. How is Confluent as a company, is the move from VMware to there worth given the situation at VMWARE post broadcom acquisition.

I’m hoping someone might have some ideas about this- I’m currently five years out of law school with a clerkship, a tax LLM, 3 years of experience doing transactional tax work and a few months of EC/VC experience (which I recently switched to from tax). I've been working at my company just over a year and am still waiting on my 1 year review where a raise was to be discussed (other EA got raise at 1 year review and most raises happen at yearly reviews). However, company have just changed their policy to only review salaries in Jan (change came in after my year mark). I'm reading this book on boundaries. In the work section it says I should tell my boss that I can't work after 5 PM. Knowing that advertising work commonly goes past 5 PM...would my job be in danger if I said that?

Are there any agencies where creatives actually have good work-life balance in LA, SF or anywhere else for that matter? Like no weekends or no working more than a 40-50hr week? Or do I have to go in house for this? Or do I have to leave advertising altogether?

I feel like I’m either getting burnt out by work or trying to heal myself from it. There’s never much time for real life and I don’t want to be on my death bed reminiscing like, “Wow, I made some cool ads.” Nothing scares me more.

Just found out there’s an ECD in a big NYC agency who claims to have won awards, but the name doesn’t pop up in any of the archives.

How do they get away with it?

Any advice on nailing the perfect headline?
