If theres no ppt template, create a base with there colors.
Flevy offers some free templates but colors are key. Slidedocs is better but less material.
Use a minto based storyboarding structure.
Go to the Slideology and Duarte sites for useful templates and high end examples of deliverables.
Read "Get Backed" and take a run through the TechStars website for structure.
Lol. I AM the EY SM... Maybe why I'm so unskilled.
Subscribing to this one. I'm 'challenged' in this space.
Search for ProEx! It's useful.
This is gold
You should also download ThinkCell from our internal platform
EY offers think elk as well as a homegrown tool Ey ProEx that you can search for on SP.. Great tools
Highly recommend Thinkcell for data/charts and graphs. And also for general templates so you don't have to start from scratch download EY ProEX add in. FSO BAP/TAPs go through a training on PPT presentations and I've heard good things about EY Pro EX
I designed the PowerPoint template for my client's project (G360 subsidiary). It's not that hard if you break it down once you understand how to manipulate slide master. You start with three things:
1. color palette (coolors.com)
2. full images (which you can crop to half of the page for sections, and blur and/or crop to the top or bottom as a header/footer). The best kinds of images aren't busy and have lots of smooth tones like sky. You could sample colors from the image to create the palette too.
3. Logo, preferably client made unless it's a special group and you needed to design one. Knowing illustrator is important. Transparent backgrounds are a must.
ThinkCell is great. Read Back of the Napkin. No joke - don't design in ppt, storyboard first on paper or whiteboard. Use outline formatting against your headlines to get the base right. Stick to a color palate - 3 base, 2 highlight colors. Take time and learn slide-master skills... YouTube has hours of training - use it. It's amazing.
Um your colleagues. See a deck you like - rip it. We aren't in ppt design innovation business here. Best slides are created based on already existing great work 😉
At EY or in general and what kind of resources? What is your objective here? Templates? Messaging? Structure?
For me, in general, pls. Can't always use EY approved branding, and in same situations, client may not be able to offer a substitute (yes, amazing, some clients don't WANT their deliverables on firm boilerplate).
Can I ask what level and practice you are? EY or someone in your group (SM or PPED) - should make sure you are all getting exposure to this kind of thing.
