24, one year in with my firm and just no clue what to do with myself. I have some passion for the music industry in general, studied a lot concerning health & healthcare but not sold on a MD...just feeling stuck with indecisiveness on top of the current climate. Tips?

Sounds like general life stuff. The good news is you’re at a huge firm that allows you space to explore the things you’ve mentioned by pursuing interesting projects and extra curricular “+1” stuff - at the very least, it provides funding for you to explore your interests outside of work. Put a plan together of how you want to use Accenture to help you learn yourself. Engage a mentor to help you with that process.

Accept that your dreams are mostly that (dreams) and you should focus on the stability and options provided by the career you have and how you can improve within that sphere. Pivots are risky, especially if you're uncertain.

Hi Everyone,

I'm Snr Lead Recruiter with a US staffing company and looking to transition my career into the role of a Business Analyst. I have a PG Diploma from Great Lakes in Business Analytics and Business Intelligence. Would appreciate any leads.

How does one go about making the jump from B4 to MBB

Quick question.
I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?

I was wondering if anyone in this group is or knows about groups to support attorneys who are/have been suspended and how to handle it with life. Frankly the state bar isn't a good resource and it's starting to impact my career in not practicing the law. I've been working for a non attorney job in my company for years and was recently told my suspension means I'd never get it. Boy that was a blow that triggered depression and anxiety, still there as it's been less than a year week.

Plus my current financial situation is stressful and I accepted the offer on certain conditions but now hr or the firm but saying we can't committ you. Any suggestions.

Looking for some advice. Second year associate at firm of 25ish attorneys in the Midwest. Looking to make a move and have an attractive offer from a small firm of 6 attorneys. Better pay and work life balance, but I’m concerned for how a firm that small may impact my career options moving forwards and if other firms or in house options down the line maybe frown on such small firms.

How possible is it to build a US-based career doing global public sector work while not being in New York or DC?

Currently a Manager at Accenture in Public Sector. Living in a progressive US city with a few direct flights to Europe, but definitely not New York or DC. PhD in public affairs. Actually I'm on the hiring roster for a P3 role at the UN.

Considering some life choices that would keep me living where I am though. Debating if this would kill hope of global work.

Hi HR Professionals! I am revising our current employment application form. Per SHRM, I was just curious if any HR Professionals completely removed the following fields: social security number, recommend salary, graduation dates, military discharge info, race, maiden name like (Ms. Mrs. Ms), & criminal history questions. I was just curious what other Employers/HR Professional have done. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I am a young professional... But every job interview I’ve had so far pretty much just wants to know what kind of person I am. They are as interested in my leadership/communication as much as they are in me talking about my experience.

(“Real jobs” in accounting, finance and private equity.)

Is this how it will always be? Or is this predominantly because I am in lower positions at this point in my career?
