Minivan is the best space and most utility but I totally can see why you wouldn’t consider it as an option :)
It’s too far a fall from grace to leave the RRS for a minivan at this very moment, but yes, I’ll admit I’m envious of those sliding doors 😂
Had a q7 but it’s just not big enough with two car seats if you take road trips with gear / bags / cooler / scooters / toys (and a dog) and all the stuff kids come with. Changed to Chevy Tahoe and it’s soooooo much more comfortable. Spacious for the kids and for us and it’s a much smoother ride believe it or not. Ahhhhh. I’ll go back to something fancy after the applesauce phase but for now the Tahoe crushes the Q7 in every way that matters these days.
It does initially but you get used to it quickly because as big as it is, its size makes it feel so safe on highways. And there is no glory like being able to comfortably pack all that you need to for a road trip without thinking twice. the kids are happier - there’s no elbowing for cup holders in the front, you don’t have to sit with your purse at your feet. The captains chair design in the second row is really nice for car seats with a cooler between and the dog can still see forward. It really is designed well for families. We got the 2021 - totally new design and many snazzy features.
Rising Star
XC90 or X7
XC90 -I’m in love with mine. Got a fully loaded one in 2019. There isn’t one thing bad I can say about it. The messaging, heated/cool chairs are soooo good. Also, I love that it can drive itself in traffic,
Look at the x5 or x7?
Pricey but love the x7. Drives great and doesn’t feel like a big truck
Cadillac XT6
2nd on the Q7 - all good with 7 people on board and the back row having 2 car seats - my boys loved being back there!
XC90 but T6 or T8 adds $$$. I have a T6 and it’s no slouch.
Rising Star
4Runner
Are you having a third kid? If so, something with captains chairs in the second row.
Gotta a Q7 recently and it’s pretty great. Spacious and luxurious. Drives very well and fits 7 comfortably. Each of the the last two rows can have car seats and they seem to be all relatively convenient.
I like the look of discovery and Volvo was a close second ..but Audi just drives so much better and the q7 does not feel like a big heavy truck, so easy to navigate (avoid Tahoe)
Yeah, I forgot about the cockpit ...most amazing thing ever. Navigation on the dashboard that is actually user friendly
Rising Star
Land cruiser. By far the best of the group
Rising Star
What’s the average price for a land cruiser?
XC90
Also would consider Ford Explorer for its trunk space . Great that it fits a stroller and still decent luggage space with even third seat up.
Trunk space is so important - I can’t believe how quickly it can disappear with the 3rd row up in most options.
Infiniti QX60 has the best third row unless you want to go with the QX56 monster.
We went with an XC90 but it ended up needing work pretty often. I’d go with the Q7 or Discovery
Bentayga or Cullinan
Love these casual suggestions 😂 they would surely pair well with stale McDonald’s fries and crushed Cheerios.
I have the Q7 also and love it. Currently have two car seats in it and there is plenty of room.
GLE can do a third row
Ah yes forgot about this option!
Tesla Model X
I have been using model S for last 4 years .. zero maintenance till date with exception of replacing tires every 20K miles bcos of
High torque and heavy weight
Kia Telluride save all that money and get a dealer to give you a 20 year powertrain warranty!
