Bro...why am I in consulting? Saw an article Milbank and other law firms raised their entry level salaries for associates...

Ranging from $235,000 for juniors to $455,000 for seniors.

Top law school and they have to practice law. Bleh

like

They likely work 3 times as much as you do

Cos you’re not as smart, well educated, well networked, or hard working as top law grads?

Yeah now check their weekly hours 80-100 of billable hours (+ extra for BS).

It was never a secret that law was a lucrative career path. If I had the aptitude, I would have made a decision 10 years ago.

Those guys work seriously long gruelling hours. Plus super competitive to get into a top law school.

AI going f Attorneys worse than consulting.

like

Doubt it. There’s already been attorneys that have gotten in trouble citing hallucinated case law. You will always need some associate lawyer up late skimming through briefs.

And then the more senior you go, like consulting, it’s more about managing relationships.

I don’t think you understand just how much your seniors will have a hand up your butt puppetting just about everything you do during your waking hours till about 2-3 am each day

Look at the profit per partner for elite law. Partners get paid more than IB and MBB.
