Technical Advisors are like senior level techs but act more like mentors. there is no Level 1, 2, 3 tech support. every tech support agent is the final and last stand.
problem with MS Tech Support culture, is everyone is for themselves. no real team work. the "not my problem, you figure it out yourself" prevails in this culture. another problem, is no clear path to communicate with developers to confirm if the issue is indeed MS patch screw up.
oh yeah. Bad Customers. the so called empathy MS keeps tooting that song... sucking up the blame... of customer complains, MS just fires you and hire another guy to replace you very very easily.
yeah.... tech support agents are treated like slaves with lash the whip about performance, not closing the case fast enough even though customer says to leave it open, no survey feedback, no 5 star reviews...basically, the VP or Senior Manager of Tech Support trying to make the stats to justify business with speedy case closure performance. When in reality, it is demoralizing.
opportunity to learn? they say that, but handling 20+ cases per day, there is no room for career advancement. you have to learn stuff off workdays. On slow days, managers come down hard on you for not being productive. Which is stupid. The logic and argumemt is flawed.
