Can someone give me an idea of salary range for a Senior Manager?

I found out a soon to be 2nd year associate got a 10k raise making his salary 110k now, while I, the soon to be 3rd year associate got a 2k raise making my salary 107k. So now the 2nd year male associate is making more money than me. How do I bring this up to the partners?

Taking my shot in tech sales. Consulting was great experience but enjoyed the relationship and BD aspect more and didn’t see myself climbing to partner. Starting in a junior BD Rep role to learn prospecting and earn quota history. Took a big paycut for the potential future earnings as an Account Exec. Did I dun goof? Probably. But I’ll regret it forever if I didn’t take my chance now when I’m still single and young-ish.

When you meet with a partner for a new assignment. Do you bill for that time? I’m a new associate, so I don’t know. On the one side it seems that meeting and conferring for an assignment requested by the the client would be billable since it’s using firm time and resources. On the other side, we are just talking about how to tackle the assignment and not tackling the assignment itself.

Been unhappy and stuck at my big law firm for a couple years. Mentor set me up with a secondment with a client. Still trying to feel out client, but mentor is trying to convince me to take in-house position if it comes up. I do not like the town the client is located in, and I’m not sure of the salary. Sacklers made a rookie mistake of not starting with a big4. Had they come to us, our partners would have recommended a phased digital transformation journey to enhance value maximization and increase share of wallet. We’d do this by implementing SAP, Workday, and Salesforce using power point based accelerators to create a 360 degree view of the customer that empowers the frontline, increases loyalty and enhance employee collaboration. We’d still be in pilot assuming start date similar to McK.

How should I go about preparing for it? Is MBA the only course?
