If something is filed with the court, and service is provided automatically thru the portal, why does OC’s office send a separate e-service email? What’s the best way to handle a traffic ticket? (I don’t practice this). There are two tickets. The first for one headlight being burnt out and the second for a plate light being burnt out. I am defending an eviction for a client who has given possession of the property (as of Nov. 30). Plaintiff’s complaint has one claim – possession. They did request relief for attorney’s fees. NJT/Final Hearing commenced 10/27, was only 30 min and was therefore continued to 12/20. Plaintiff had counsel at that time but they are no longer represented.  I want to file something notifying Court that Plaintiff claim is now moot, making sure that judgment is not entered that hurts (cont'd)..
