Got a notification from Honeywell that my application is “under consideration”. Does this mean that it is actually under consideration, as in it didn’t get kicked out by ATS? Or is it just an acknowledgment that it was successfully submitted? It took about 3 business days to get the notification.
Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

u can if u live in midtown, parts of edgewater (i live right across from publix), brickell, or downtown. outside those it’s gonna be very inconvenient to not have one.
I live in midtown and don’t have a car and it’s completely fine. Uber works if i need to get to the beach, brickell, the grove, etc.
Having a car is beneficial. But depending on where you live, yes, you can live without one. Certain areas have better public transportation than others. For example if you live and work in the downtown area, then a car would not be necessary.
I knew people who went to American Express sunrise campus daily without a car. Some folks never even attempted to take public transit here.
No
Yes I grew up here without one, the ones who say no haven’t even taken the bus, metromover and metro rail
Such a mission! I work in downtown so the mover is helpful to get around, but if I want to take the train to work I'd need to drive to the station or take a bus to the station. Not worth it
Yes you can. Depends on where you want to live. Look at metrorail / brightline stops and decide how you will move around using public transport. Brickell is probably your best bet.
Going out will likely require you to uber places.
I have been here for over a year. Only have one car which my wife drives. I uber, brightline and/or use the metrorail
Don't listen to the people that say you can, you can't unless you plan on expensing all your ubers
Not the most convenient, but you can. I don’t take public transportation, just uber. I live where supermarkets, restaurants, post office, and dry cleaning are within walking distance.
Agree with this. Lived here carless 2.5 years in walkable neighborhoods.
I Uber, walk, or bike wherever I need with no issue. Have rented cars through Turo or major renters occasionally, for trips or errands.
For sure have spent less than I would’ve on total car costs.
Unless you work across the street and Uber everywhere else, which at that point you might as well just have a car….
Depends on where you live and how you live. Also, where all you need to go frequently.
Quick answer: hahahahaha
Short answer: No.
Long answer: If you live / eat / play in Brickell only, sure.
Depends.
If you’re in a central area, you may be able to use public transport (buses, metrorail, metromover, shuttle) to get around.
But it’s not 100% reliable. Delays are expected and some routes aren’t as frequented. Also, public transport isn’t 24/7. So after hours, expect to Uber, Lyft, etc.
I plan on moving walking distance to my work.
Of course you can Uber. We’re laughing at the imagery of OP walking home, pushing a full grocery cart for 20 mins in this heat and humidity. Lol.

I know people who live in brickell that don’t keep a car. They spend most of their time in brickell and take Ubers if going elsewhere.
I do
Have not had a car in 3 years. I live in Brickell. I work from home. My groceries are delivered to my house. I’ve learned I can get to everything I would ever need (Best Buy, mall, Macy’s, shopping) on a $2.50 ride on the green train to Dadeland. The green line stops have mattress firm, more stores , Ross, etc. it’a doable. The green and orange line and Brightline gets me to where I want to go in south Florida. Sometimes if I need it I will rent a car for a day for $40-$55 dollars. People just never leave downtown or brickell and that’s not all there is in Miami
