The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

Is not that good, NY is better.
Do I miss being cold and depressed half the year? No.

I absolutely love it, take a risk and come on down. Worst case scenario you can leave.
i’m moving in a few months also from NYC :) 32 and single! more than welcome to get a drink with me and meet my friends! DM me!
You have nothing to worry about. There are many things to do there. You will definitely meet some interesting people. Worst case, you can always go back.
Will you guys be working from home? The traffic has become insufferable.

I don't necessarily regret it but I for sure wish that some things are a little similar. I miss a lot of things in NYC.
Like what could you give us examples?
No I do not regret it. I will say it took me some time to make friends and at first, I hated it. The first few months were brutal and I wanted to move home. Give it some time though! You will make friends and feel much more at home.
We moved here over 3 months ago from NYC. I miss NYC everyday 😝 not sure how I feel about Miami yet…. Hopefully will start feeling here better. I am also traveling back to NYC like every month. As people said come, try, see if you like it or not, can always move back.
Only thing I miss about NYC is the subway/ease of getting around. But Miami more than makes up for that with the food, sunshine, and beach.
