Depending on the firm, you can with the right leverage. I negotiated a class year bump when a partner left and tried to take me with them
Usually the class year salary itself no. But what class year you fall in you can negotiate around. If you started early, you can let it be known. You can negotiate signing bonus or clerkship bonus if applicable. And it’s milbank scale now
