Compared to Austin? Yes.
Compared to rural parts of the South? No.
Debatable
Generally, no, since Dallas County is blue. Red pockets do exist, however, in Preston Hollow and other well-to-do areas in North Dallas.
I don’t consider anywhere to be “this” or “that”
You will find many adult professionals in NY/SF (many more than you think) who grew out of being liberal the more they earned and the more they came to realize endless hopeless government waste/corruption
You will also find many liberal students and teachers in TX/FL (many more than you think) who want to aggressively try to “change” the status quo… though sadly their establishment-approved ideas tend to enrich/entrench the status quo
So yeah liberal v conservative doesn’t exist in reality lol. It’s the people v the uniparty/state 🤝

Why is this pinned in the bowl? Go ask this in the politics bowl…
Nah, not really. Dallas is fairly blue.
Relative to the rest of the state, no, I don’t believe Dallas would be considered conservative. You’ll certainly find plenty of conservatives here, but at the aggregate level, I feel it is fairly progressive for the region.
There are plenty of transplants from all over the country that bring with them a whole spectrum of political views.
Yes, don’t confuse it with DFW as a whole. There is a lot of smaller towns outside of it, some are liberal (ish) some are not.

Yes
If you walked into a bar during Trump's initial campaign, how many MAGA hats would you see? There's your answer.
Look at the map in the last presidential cycle. It may not be indicative of local elections but speaks to the Dallas side of the metroplex (65% Biden vs 35% Trump). For reference in Tarrant county (Basically FW) Trump and Biden split with 49%.

I’ll die on the hill that Dallas proper is liberal (maybe not the new and trendy progressive left) and that Ft. Worth leans conservative. The metroplex is very much so a politically heterogeneous place.
Libertarian
No we are not, Livertarians lost trust when they proposed Rand Paul, the guy turned to be a bigger idiot than Trump. To give you credit, he still a better choice than Cruz.
uhhh, yes and no. More so liberal, but it's still Texas after all.
Dallas proper, yea, not progressive left but still more left. Dallas suburbs, healthy mix yet leaning right.
Dallas is purple :)
Yes and that’s a good thing!
