1st year Assoc in a small comm lit firm with 6 attorneys. Sole proprietor partner who is early/mid 70s. Literally doesn’t have or use a computer(like ever🙄). He has to have EVERYTHING printed from him including his emails which he is CC’d on everything me and my coworker send out. Openly racist (he’s Jewish too) and absolute pos to everyone who works for him. We also use PAPER files for him w/ company drive. They never wfh even during start of Covid. No access to emails. Anyone dealt w this?Tips

I think it was stated he’s Jewish to point out that he comes from a Background that gets discriminated agains , so it’s extra unsettling for someone to be racist in that situation.

Yes. To put it in a more concise phrasing

like

Lateral. The market is hot and he sounds toxic.

For context, I lateraled within my first 3 months of being a 1st year. In this market especially, nobody cares

like

Why does the fact he's Jewish have any bearing on this?

like

All of that is super racist and his Jewishness has no bearing on it.

Oh no. Get out of there.

My boss in my creative agency threatened to fire me because I, a male, came into work with my nails painted. Hello all, I am a production manager for a sign design and manufacturing company. I have been with the company for six years now starting as lead graphic designer working my way to the production manager. since becoming the production manager two years ago I am responsible for 4 large format printers and 1 vinyl plotter. I’m wearing too many hats but I love what I do. I would love to be a remote graphic designer but I don’t know where to start. Any suggestions?

How do you let a director know it’s really not professional to keep re-scheduling the meeting? This is the 4th time a new time is proposed. And it’s one of my pet peeves.

I am worried that I am being benchmarked on a wrong job title.

Sales Manager vs International Manager or should it be something else?

My employer is based in China, while I am in France. I remotely manage a global sales team, with team members from around the globe. They all work remotely as well.

Being remote, and managing an international remote team, I would like to know what should be my job title? Any idea or professionals that I may contact, please?

Thank you.

My last therapist keeps coming up in my mind. I left her when I moved to a new area before COVID dug in and frankly it felt like leaving a girlfriend. She also disclosed in the final session that she was a member of AA and knew several of the people I occasionally discussed from the rooms. Her knowledge of the program certainly built trust with me early on, but it has been two years. I discussed it with my current therapist but she’s still in there. Any advice?
