I would give him more unless he’s over weight. My dogs a lab- they are always hungry.
Labs will eat until they burst. 😂 I have one and she never says no to food. OP, I’d say, monitor your dog’s weight and energy levels and adjust portions accordingly. And if your dog is a lab, be extra careful with meal portions. Labs lack that sensory perception of being full.

My dogs also tell me when they are hungry but this is usually if I’m working late and missed their 6 pm dinner time. One will come sit next to me and make dolphin noises while staring at me.
I actually give mine slightly less in the winter since exercise less. (He’s small)
Yes, If they’re excising less they should be eating less so they don’t gain wait. you can tell by looking at their waist if they’ve gained weight
They will most definitely eat more in the winter I used to own a Alaskan husky and he ate a lot in the winter but then he slowed right down during spring and summer

Lola has tells me when she is hungry. She will legit flip her bowl for food. Sometimes she eats more than other times. She will take the metal food bowl and flip it until I get up and feed her.
Big dog? Running a lot outside? Ok.
