As an Android developer (3 YOE), what should I be doing now if I want to get into Application security in future?

Has anybody moved from HR to social work? How did you do it? Did you take a role to bridge the transition (ex. working in HR for a company that employs social workers)? I think social work would be better aligned to my personal values.

Gained knowledge of cyber security and planning to switch . Infosys currently agreeing to switch to IVS unit however not agreeing to any salary hike or Hybrid or WFH Model

On other hand has offer from Israel product based telecom company on Devops role with 60% salary hike and hybrid work policy(planning to switch domain to cyber security 1 year later)

Which is the better option to go for ?

Looking for career advice. I’m based in Canada, MCOL area, and barely making ends meet at 62k total comp. Several YOE but only 6mo in the field, master’s degree in an unrelated field, currently pursuing a graduate degree in org dev. Analyst at a boutique firm, but have gotten an offer for a consultant position for a similar comp at another firm with more intense working hours. I’m an excellent worker. What’s a good move for me to make to accelerate my career?

Can anyone let me know how easy it is to apply to a consulting firm in Dubai directly coming from London? I am currently working at a T2 strategy firm in London and my partner and I want to relocate in ~1.5 years. My firm does not have an office in Dubai whilst my partners firm does. Is it possible to apply straight (rather than moving laterally in London, waiting a few years then transferring?) interested in MBB views too. (I would have roughly 2.5 YOE by then)

For those who have obtained the CFF certification:
I was asked to put together a working plan to obtain my CFF credential. I’m aware of the 2 certificate program (Core and Specialized) through the AICPA that will lead to the CFF. Does anyone have experience in how long it would take to complete the certificates and if there are other necessary or helpful study materials that would be useful? For background, I’m 6 months into working at this firm and have touched a variety of cases.

That being said… I’m going to feel bad leaving this new job so soon. I’m sure they’ll be disappointed and maybe even angry… is there any way to NOT burn bridges on my way out of this current job?

I’ve built a reputation I’m proud of @ my company. I’m underpaid for what I do (started as an intern) & recently asked for a market adjustment. Management acknowledged that I’m undervalued & plans to set me up for a promotion. It’d come with more responsibility, which doesn’t align with my goals.

Is it wise for me to remain open to a promotion just for increased pay? Or should I be transparent with management about my goals (& possibly not get the pay I’m asking for)? Or any other tips?

What are some good ways to get into management?
I am an individual contributor with ~8 years of experience and a strong track record. I enjoy my work, but am getting a little burnt out being directly customer facing. I also want a bigger seat at the table. I am not the most natural people manager, but want to push myself and take on a new challenge.

I got the highest offer from LnT worth 17, but I can try for some more comapnies and get higher offers.
But ,I also want to retain in capgemini if they match the package.
Should I stop interviews & approach my manager or should I wait for him to call me again ? He had already called once saying he would match the package.

YOE - 6 in Android development. I got an offer from MakeMyTrip Bengaluru 22L fixed + 2L joining bonus. I'm from hyderabad. MMT has hybrid work model and wants me to relocate so that I could appear in office twice in a week. They denied full remote opportunity. Given that some companies are providing full remote opportunities, is it still worth it to relocate for a job/career? I joined MakeMyTrip in April. I got married in June. My husband works in hyderabad and we stay with his family. So I asked MMT to extend WFH for me. Full remote is not a possibility as per the company policy. I would love to work for product based companies like MMT.
