I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

I had a second interview with a company on 9/21 and hadn’t heard back from them in a week so I sent a follow up email to the recruiter I had been in contact with on 9/30. I still haven’t heard back from the company but Workday still says I’m “Under Consideration”. Should I send a second follow up or wait it out?

Hey all! i am at the final stage with a well know Fin-Tech company and am meeting with their CPO today for their Executive Recruiter position. Was not given the result of the final interview, because I was the only person who had reached that stage... 😐😔 They'll said they'll let me know towards the end of next week... This has happened TWICE (Rant / off my chest).

I’ve had four interviews in the past week, and I’ve noticed that HMs and recruiters aren’t as serious as they should be: 1. They got up in the middle of the interview to answer the door. 2. Biting their nails throughout the entire interview while working on something else. 3. Mentioned that I need to be available 24/7 and can only offer a title less than I currently am because they don’t have a high budget. Is there anything that I can do stop this? Maybe consider another industry?

Deciding between UT-Austin, Cornell and UCLA for tech. Scholarships aside, I love texas culture having lived there for a few summers but its the lowest rank on my list. UCLA has one of the best pipelines for tech but I’m not rich and dont know anyone in LA so would i feel left out given the affluence of the area ? Rec: those who know me well went to T20-25, those who went to M7 don't necessarily know me well
EC: strong undergrad club leadership, none outside of firm initiatives since I started consulting
