IBM has offered me X amount ctc and i accepted it on portal....now got to know that market valuation for 10.3 yoe is greater than offered ctc....can i ask HR to increase the ctc and change the band...will they consider it?...not holding any counter offer as of now

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.

Hi guys, is there a recession on, if so how is it affecting Tech PM jobs. I got off my last job 2 months ago but yet no other in the offing. I am in Atlanta GA

Does anyone have any RAG formulaic templates they've used in the past that they wouldn't mind sharing? Working at a company that is developing processes and we do not have a consistent/formulaic approach to RAG status. I've worked in other companies where we would do line item milestones with their own individual RAG (determined by probability+ impact) that would roll up into an overall project RAG status. But, I'm unable to find a template like that easily.

I currently work as a Scrum master and eventually want to move over to being a Project manager. Any other SMs in this bowl that did the same?

And also, what advice do you have for an aspiring Project Manager? :)

Hello everyone, what is considered appropriate compensation for a training program manager in Canada - industry Software

I'm currently working as a SWE and am interested in learning about the PM role and the experiences of others who switched to PM from a different role.
I enjoy customer engagement and planning/timelining work in an agile manner. These make me think I'd be a good fit for the role but I have some concerns/questions:
1. What is the pay-range compared to the average SWE pay range?
2. What skills are critical for the PM role?
3. Should I obtain Agile PM certificates?
4. Anything else I should know :)

Any recommendations for executive product management programs that might help transitioning from tech program management (engg experience too) to a product manager role.

This would be a for profit, international company. I am curious what others are being compensated at for this title (base, bonus structure)?
