Delta is really hit and miss from Chicago unfortunately. Really the only delta flights are to other delta hubs: Atlanta, LAX, Sea-Tac, Detroit, Minneapolis, Boston, JFK, and Salt Lake City. United is your best bet.
Ohare is a hub for both UA and AA. Don’t bother trying to remain loyal to delta if you’re based in chicago.
You’ll likely have to connect for just about anything. I thought it was worth it sticking with delta for a couple years but finally switched over to UA on a longer project in Houston. I still prefer DL over UA though
Yeah, Delta is tough from ORD. Wish I could use it, but it’s not great if you’re traveling regularly.
the only people i know who use delta out of chicago are those that either previously lived in delta hubs and have god level status. and even they sometimes stray onto UA or AA.
Dump Delta. Status match to United. Don't bother with American.
If you can find direct flights they are good. Otherwise you need to visit Atlanta every trip.
Delta is about to move to Terminal 5 whenever they finish the construction/remodeling project there. Delta is supposed to get an additional 10 gates. It’s not a lot but it might make Delta a good backup airline to keep if you’re flying to Delta hub cities.
