Start breaking down your excuses for not doing the things you know you should. Remember that if you defend your limitations, you get to keep them
Same issues here. Feel burned out/stressed out, letting things other than work slide. Not sure of the solution, just know that I need to find one (or several)!
Work is the only thing that's stable right now. I have plenty of time to do the other stuff....I'm just not
Well - professional counseling is another path - get to the root of what the s bothering you with someone taking a dispassionate view - I don't advocate pill popping!
If money is not everything, QUIT
EY2 literally got back a week ago from 8 day vacay! I think it actually made me see this issue more clearly (for better or worse)
pop an adderall and start chipping away at your list. (not joking)
Start with small things, and do them early in the day, at least on weekends, when you're well rested. You won't have lack of energy as an excuse, and if your day isn't already all planned out you can think that through while doing mindless chores
I feel you. I should apply to other jobs but I feel so exhausted and demotivated by the time weekends roll around. Ugh. Bad cycle.
As a partner I can tell you that sometimes I do this because it's actually easier to focus on the professional - the personal is harder work. I asked people in my life to hold me accountable when I take the professional path to excess - and it has worked for me. Also, when is the last time you took a vacation - good be silly and obvious but sometimes you just need a break to reconnect outside of work.

Same here. How do you guys keep yourselves motivated?
Sometimes to combat this I'd choose one day to do absolutely nothing, or things I used to do often as a kid (e.g. video games, music)
Outsource some chores. I have a cleaning person that comes twice a month. And I'm motivated to clean for them and love coming home to an immaculate condo. You sound depressed and that's okay. But hang in there.
@MCK1 that's my go to on Saturday's. I mix in work over the weekend sometimes but dedicated myself to something totally unproductive other than to release stress and let go
Yes, adderall. It's motivation in a time-released magic capsule.
Starting to feel the same. Do some new things. Take a different route. Update your routine.
Just spent way too much money on a home gym to motivate myself to get back in shape. So far so good...
Follow #theenergyproject. Some good ideas there.
Take a vacation and use that time to rethink.
