My LM is so keen on small small things, not related to coding but documentation and all. Atleast once in a week I'm committing mistakes on small documentation points n he is stressing on same. Are there any chances that my probation will not be extended or is it a clue for me from my LM. He is Looping his LM and asking questions/clarifications.
Should I ask him directly or can be ignored or need to try outside. Please suggest Barclays

I always thought The Advertising Concept Book was the better book about making ads. Hey Whipple did the better job of selling you on a career in advertising. And then inevitably disappointing you when you get in and realize "Hey, what the hell? No one respects the creative? I can't talk about movies and stuff all day? This is just another office job!"
Love ACB unfortunately haven’t finished it yet 🫣

I never even started
I’ve only ever read the first chapter
No one does. We just collectively pretend we did.
This is the realest thing I have read today. Its soooo true.
I used to say I read it long before I actually did. Not sure if I learned anything from it, but I still tell others to read it to keep the cycle going.
Abomination
Is that book still relevant? I read the whole thing but I can’t remember a single thing it said that would apply to today’s advertising industry
I’ll take this a step further and say, as a writer, I’ve only finished less than a handful of books in my life. In fact, I kinda hate reading.

I’m an art director and I’ve never seen art in my life.
The last 4 chapters are blank precisely for this reason.
I’m sure it’s been updated since I read it a million years ago as an advertising student. But like others have mentioned, it’s a book about how to make great work at two of the top agencies in the country. Your experience at an agency probably won’t resemble what he’s describing. And a lot of the advice about concepting and executing work assume you’ll have budgets and time that you’ll never have. If you’ve been working for a while, I’d suggest reading it just for kicks.
Did someone say you had to finish?

But nobody ever claimed the correlation you're suggesting.
Plenty of people I work with swear by it as an essential read, esp towards people starting out in their careers 🤷🏻♂️
You never finished what?
