BMW M3. Life is too short to drive a soulless EV.
Will never buy anything from Musk
Tesla’s technology advancement is unmatched. That alone is a standout factor. Highly recommend FSD. Will change your life
The BMW is a poorly baked product. I would consider other options.
+1 on M3. Model 3/i4 are boring appliance econoboxes. Might as well save your money and get a Camry if that’s all you’re after.
But between the two, i4 all day. Model 3 is built to the standards of an economy car. However neither are worth it.
HELL YES!!
Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric
I suggest getting a 3 row EV SUV. Lucid is one of the only options but Lexus is coming out with the TZ which is fully EV.
Rising Star
@PwC: I'm not arguing against the logic of getting a 3 row EV (I have an EV9 and kids, myself), I'm just pointing out that telling a person to look at 3 row SUVs when that's not what they asked about is a non sequitur, and you also skipped 75%+ of the 3 row EV market.
Be prepared for massive depreciation and the feeling that your car is dated much quicker than no EVs as the tech evolves quicker.
Having said that, the best EV car I’ve ever ridden in is the genesis SUV. Unlike teslas is felt like a very polished and well made car. I’ve only experienced their self driving on the highway so can’t say how much better Tesla would be though I suspect it’s better.
I have a BMW iX and previously had 2 plug in hybrid BMWs. I’ve driven model 3 and i4s. The BMW is a much better car. Better ride, higher reliability, higher customer satisfaction. Look at consumer reports data. i4 is 84pts. Model3 77pts. That’s a big difference. Have you ever driven a 3 year old Tesla? They rattle like crazy. Now that said, the Tesla might be cheaper to own. I haven’t priced an iX3 against an i4 but the iX3 is BMWs first Neue Klasse model that represents a leap ahead of other EVs. If I was looking to buy a bmw EV right now, I would get an iX3. My spouse has a Ford Mach-e. Discount when we bought it was a lot. Obviously we thought the Mach-e was a better car than Model3. Every time I’m in the Mach-e I’m impressed with what Ford produced and at way less than half the cost of my iX.
We have a MY and enjoying greatly. Had a model 3 prior to that and thought it was solid as well.
They’re not luxury vehicles though if that’s what you’re expecting.

If you must, lease or buy used. They depreciate like Trump's approval rating.
