Where can I live in SF without a car?
Saturday’s for chillinnn ❤️

Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

What is a data lake in basic terms?
Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

Very near term (next 2 years) almost everyone with no business sense who’s purpose is descriptive analytics using data and light predictive capabilities will likely lose their job to some sort of AI. The ML people are automating themselves out of relevance unfortunately

Sure but like some 90% of “data scientists” working at a normal corporate job in a non-tech company are, or those otherwise in a non-product role
All the sucking up to your boss doesn’t appear in databases so when the cost cutting ML model is fired up all that work will be for nothing. It’s not the 1970s anymore.
Or do you mean ML replacing actual people doing work? Like when spreadsheets replaced all these accountants in this picture?
Yeah, AutoCAD needs to share the wealth.
