Curious how ad agencies & production teams are currently finding Casting Directors—especially for unconventional, hard-to-cast campaigns.

Since ‘98, most of my work has come through referrals. I’ve cast 80+ campaigns a year for the last 25+ years, but with a few longtime production partners closing shop, I’m realizing I’ve never actually marketed myself before.

For those of you in advertising - how do you like to be approached? And how do you find Casting for challenging nationwide projects?

I have been on bench since I joined the firm 3 months ago. Now I have got project but still on bench. I have got mail regarding not raising snapshots because I was on bench so i didn't do anything except trainings and some learning. I don't have hours to raise snapshot for.

What shall I do in this case? I am very much worried that if i don't have any project hours to show, will they fire me or what actions are supposed to be taken ? Thanks.

Any advice as to how to help my other-half (who has bouts of anxiety and depression) apply to jobs? He’s going through a particularly rough patch at the moment.
