Wondering if it’s just an easy way for companies to say they want that type of level of experience. Still apply, highlight everything you’ve accomplished. Sometimes, requirements can be covered with transferable experience.
Have you actually applied to these jobs? If the work really doesn't require the RN degree, I feel like there's a chance they'd still consider you for them. Especially if you tailor your resume to showcase how your experience makes you a great fit for the role.
I’m in this exact same boat. I have experience in various arenas of healthcare, from a pain management clinic to clinical research and also clinical recruiting and home health care, but certain senior level roles keep requiring “RN” and it throws me off because I know I am capable of doing the required tasks, but I also need to get that across to the hiring team somehow.
Exact same boat, requiring RN or LCSW licensure when I’ve literally done exact job line-by-line without one.
I still apply and tell ChatGPT to include a “non licensed” section that demonstrates how my skills align exactly with the role. It has landed me a few more interviews but I think with managed care organizations, licensure is required as part of their contracts.
It’s incredibly frustrating but don’t give up, the right role will come along and realize how invaluable your experience and expertise are.
