I have 2 monitors set up at home plus a docking station for my laptop. It’s essentially the same set-up as my office.
My home setup is better than my work setup. One massive curved screen and an aeron chair. It really helps with the later nights.
Get monitors and a docking station. I had them before the pandemic honestly. No reason to stay in the office super late if you have an equal set-up at home.
I have a giant monitor at home. But I also mostly work remote. I bought all my equipment myself for my home office and left work equipment at my office desk.
My home office is honestly nicer than my actual office.
I have a third monitor in my home office, a TV, and I’m within stumbling distance of my bedroom and kitchen. Plus, I can play music or have the TV on and don’t need to wear headphones. Is nice
Think about getting a lightweight portable monitor. I have the thinkpad m14t and I looooooove it (also comes in a non touchscreen version). The monitor literally weighs less than my big iPhone. It just drains a lot of battery though so you need to keep your laptop plugged in. But so great for having a second screen wherever you go!
If you’re like me and like working in your bed, then you can even have two screens there too! It’s great.
XL monitor and docking station with wireless keyboard and mouse at my “workstation.” Portable/travel monitor that slides out from my laptop when I’m casually working from the couch. It makes life SO much easier and more productive when I WFH
At home I connect my laptop to a dual monitor setup that is identical to my office setup.
