Currently about to finish my plumbing apprenticeship currently in commercial maintenance. I'm about to have the meeting in regards to what I'll be getting paid when I qualify. Is there anywhere I can be looking to find a realistic $ amount I should be asking for?

Are there instructors in your apprenticeship or trade unions who can advise on the numbers?

Yeah I just don't have the time as the meetings tomorrow morning

My husband is in the trades and said to expect between 20-25/hr.

I came across your profile and liked your perspective onthe particular post.
I spend most of my time around investment strategy and career positioning, so I always find investment conversations interesting.
What are you currently focused on these days. ?

first of all, congrats! i would ask other plumbers, check their websites or call them for quotes, etc. :)

Talk to other plumbers who have been in the field for a while and get their information

Hello Fishes,
I am much stressed.. it’s only been 5 months to join Capgemini. I joined in as cyber security consultant with good package.
However, the work I do the tricks, logics and solutions I share with team to apply in the project… all are of no use when discussed with the architect guy. The whole team rely upon the wordings/solutions suggested by him only. It feels like my skill/knowledge and experience is of no use.
I feel like what am I doing here….? Any suggestions please.

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

Currently I work for a small company that does the construction of small cell utility poles and roof top sites for the major cell carriers like VZW, T-mobile, AT&T and so on. I am a project coordinator but I do everything under the sun. Created project tracker. Submitti bids, sourcing material, negotiating price on materials, handling post construction inspections, scheduling sub contractors, notifying stakeholders, coordinating with construction managers - property owners - building management.

What's the best form of compensation to ask for and why?

My employers' CEO just announced that they just received $7 million from investors. He wants to use that money to offer incentives to employees that hussle and drive more revenue for the company. We're not sure what those incentives look like yet, but here are some post-announcement rumors from my co-workers:

Cash bonuses, raises, profit-sharing, company equity, 401k match, etc.

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…
