PwC recruiter continuing to push me for a lateral role based purely on my current title at another big 4, despite my clear indications (and quals) for the next role up. Any thoughts?
I was laid off fall of last year, allegedly due to covid. I just saw that they re-listed my position and now am devastated and doubting everything about my career. I got good reviews at this and my previous jobs but many are cowardly about giving honest feedback. I took a step down and started a new job recently so I’ll be ok in the long run but the job I was laid off from was my “dream job”. I don’t have strong family/friend support, exacerbated by covid isolation. Any wisdom/advice?
Since my non-MBB consulting internship after grad school ended in April I’ve been actively trying to network with MBB people as much as possible. It was very successful and I was encouraged to apply as an experienced candidate for an entry role by recruiters & consultants but not before fall. I had to accept a different consulting job in the meantime to receive income and being able to work but am willing to quit anytime in case I get an MBB offer. (cont.)
I don’t get recruiters. They say they’re trying to move quick on the role. Sets up phone screening call with her next week Friday when I said I’m free today and Monday afternoon. How is that quick..?

Any advice for approaching a maternity leave conversation when my company has no policy, no HR dept and I have no contract? I’m a partner shareholder in my company (we’re not in the US), 19 wks pregnant. I know the time off and pay I’d like to negotiate, but my partners are male and weird about money. I’m underpaid in a very senior 6 yr position, my job is stressful and around the clock, so I want proper leave. I can’t afford childcare and our govt stat leave is terrible, it won’t pay my bills.
I was head hunted for a Senior Manager role at PwC and they’ve made me go through 3 interviews with 4 Partners.. All very relaxed but isn’t 4 Partners excessive for SM role?
Thoughts on this article? Seems like the authors bumbled a bit without really doing their homework. At least they were able to exit without loss. Very amateur. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/05/frank-and-stevens-excellent-corporate-raiding-adventure/521436/

Looking for some advice on an exit opportunity - Current role - 1 year post-MBA at a T2 strategy firm making $148 Potential role - senior level role at a small healthcare company at $265 + equity Seems like a slam dunk, but is moving to a company that isn’t well known going to harm me in the long run? Advice needed! So I completely bombed the GMAT today (70 points below my OG practice test average LOL). Should I cancel it or keep so I can buy the enhanced score report? I know I was having major testing anxiety and was off on timing, but I’m curious to see whether the ESR will reveal any other useful red flags to make sure this does not happen again. How much will it hurt me to keep the score (680) if I end up getting a much better score in 2 weeks when I try again?
I am interviewing for an in-house counsel position at a large corporation. I have four 30-minute (and back to back) Zoom interviews set up with various executives at the company (one being the GC to whom the position reports). Does anyone have any advice on how to prepare and what to expect?

So, I’m currently interviewing for new job, and market is not bad, but I’m anxious and I am interviewing for every opportunity that comes my way (director/vp level, tech). Today, September 30 I received an invite for an initial interview for another opportunity. So I applied to this opportunity through networking on August 10 (!). It looks like a red flag for me and I’m thinking thankyounext, but again it’s covid time... Thoughts?
