Had a heart to heart talk with my director today. Been feeling overwhelmed and burnt out since my last job and trying to onboard into this new job (started 3 mths ago). I didn’t have any break between jobs so I realized I burned out quick here. It’s usually not my thing to be too honest in a professional setting but I needed him to know bc my performance was affected. We brainstormed how we can work together to make this a better experience for me. Hopefully he was genuine and doesn’t fire me!

Is negotiating offers the norm now? I’ve been at my company awhile and at the time I was hired they said they don’t do negotiations, take it or leave it and they’d offer the next person. I do believe we renegotiate now, however I’m not sure if it’s the rule, the exception, or somewhere in the middle?

Hi Fishes, I'm in a huge dilemma now. Im currently working with TCS and my CCTC is 10.29 LPA and I hold 2 offers, one with with Bank of America for 17.5 LPA Fixed and with CTS for 19 LPA.
My last date is Dec-30 and I received a call today from TCS HR for retaining me for 16 LPA max.
Earlier,before the call I had Bank of america in mind ahead of CTS for its work culture ,hike %, job security and other benefits. But here in TCS also I have very good role, job security and comfort.Please suggest!!

How common are credit checks for roles in accounting or finance positions? Will high utilization on credit card balances and low credit score be a deal breaker? I’ve been irresponsible and made mistakes, but wondering if I can switch jobs now or if I’m best off waiting 1-2 years and cleaning up my credit first.

I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. Need help,I am joining @VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.

So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?
