Only 27 and makes more than a newly fresh partner in their 40s in my field

A. The 40-45 year old partners in FDD are making 1-1.8 mil.
B. He’s at the top 5% of those majors, compare him to the business people who went on to IB and stayed til VP making 500-700K as a 28-29 year old. So many CS people can’t find anything because there’s too many of them

Where would you say FDD is at in terms of percentile or business people? Are we mid-range 50%?

Your buddy seems very motivated and skilled and likely would’ve had above average success anywhere he/she went. Agree with the poster above, this is very likely not the norm even in his /her career path so you just consider that when comparing your path to theirs.
