Copywriters, what are your main responsibilities on a shoot? I haven’t worked on many and am never sure if I’m being helpful enough. I’m always ready to do rewrites on the spot if need be, but don’t know if there’s anything else I should be helping the team with on set.

Would you strongly advise against going in-house right after a state court clerkship? (No law firm experience in law school either). I don’t know if I want to become an in-house forever. Would it be difficult to get a law firm job at a later time?

Almost 18 weeks pregnant with no end in sight for fatigue and nausea. This week, my brain has added the stress of who will watch my toddler while I go into labor. Husband I have no family nearby and don’t want them to fly out and come stay with us either. What’s everyone else in similar situations doing?

Confronted client today about partner forcing us to travel while client site has travel restrictions. As a result is team is remote next week. Counting down days till I get rolled off/fired now lol

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.

Is there any advice for networking into projects when you don’t know many people at the firm yet? I always to help on BD work when I’m on the bench, but it never turns into any billable work. Trying to decide between an offer at Deloitte and a counter-offer at Booz. Deloitte has the name recognition and better benefits but I have a really supportive team at Booz and good work-life balance. Any insight is appreciated!
