What are some legit reasons for not choosing or pursuing MBB?

Are there investment restrictions at MBB the way there are at B4 for independence reasons?

Is it easier to get to MBB by jumping to T2 first? How is B4 compared to T2 (e.g OW, Kearney, AM)?

I would like to find out what the most common turnaround (final round to offer/rejection) time is after final round interviews at major firms.

Inclusion Criteria:
Final round interview candidates at MBB or generally competitive Tier 2 Strategy firms (e.g. Monitor, EY-P, LEK etc.) only.

Please can you comment:
- In how many hours or days or weeks after your final interview did you hear back from the firm
- Decision (offer or rejection)

I’m joining MBB soon and about to go shopping for new wardrobe. What should I get? I’m a woman btw. Should I get a lot of button down shirts and suits for Zoom? I’m a budget shopper so will be going to the mall and places like Ann Taylor, Banana republic, HM, etc. No high end things.

Do you need to have a MBA to make partner at MBB? If no, are there many partners that just have an undergrad degree?

Anyone willing to share how pensions work at MBB and Big4? Requirements and ranges?

What are the cons of Columbia/Duke Early Action rounds (assuming early timing of GMAT and essays is not a problem)?
My understanding is that EA rounds should be easier than R1 but you have to commit ~5k that are lost if you then choose another school.
Is this right?

I’m looking ahead to MBB summer FT recruiting from undergrad. As someone from a non-target university, any advice on securing an interview besides cold-emailing people to chat?

Have put in a lot of work since the past 2 years into casing and have worked extensively on behaviorals, but am afraid that the initial barrier of getting the interview is tough.
